Summer Carnival Tour: P!NK Brings the Party to Boston
Amplify Her Voice covers Pink Summer Carnival Tour at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts on July 31, 2023.
On Monday night, Fenway Park was filled with fans of all different ages coming together to have one big summer party with the iconic 43-year-old Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, Pink.
As soon as 8:35pm came around, the lights went down and the sound of “Get the Party Started,” filled Fenway. As a mechanical mouth opened up, Pink came down in her signature aerial rig doing flips and turns until landing on stage very gracefully. Multiple big hits followed, such as “Raise Your Glass,” “Who Knew,” “Just Like a Pill,” “Try,” and “What About Us. For “Turbulence,” a song about anxiety featured on her new album, Trustfall, Pink channeled Cirque du Soleil, twirling from a trapeze above her audience. As the carnival continued, fireworks, fog, and fire dazzled the stage as dancers flipped on trampolines to the title track, “Trustfall,”. Pink found moments to pay loving tribute to her late dad, playing a song dedicated to him. She spoke about a funny memory she had with him saying, “I don’t know what else to say about this song because I’m not ready to talk about it, so it just has to be funny,” before singing the tribute, “When I Get There,”.
The singer bounced, ran, and flew all around Fenway and the crowd loved every second of it. The final song of the night was her hit, “So What,”. Pink harnessed up one last time for the night and vaulted through the air high above Fenway Park, flipping and zipping past singing fans in the stands while belting out the lyrics, “I’m still a rock star” and closing out the first of two Fenway Park shows of her Summer Carnival Tour.
